Ceramic Plates

Hand-thrown dinner and salad plates shaped from clay in Louisville, Kentucky. Each plate carries the marks of its making — subtle variations in rim, form, and glaze that distinguish handmade work from manufactured alternatives.

About These Plates

Ceramic plates from Glinomes are made for the table — sized for everyday meals and substantial enough for daily use. Dinner plates, salad plates, and side plates can be made in coordinating forms and glazes.

The organic quality of hand-thrown work means each plate is slightly unique. Rims may vary subtly in height and profile. Glaze application creates variation in tone and surface texture. These are features of handmade ceramics, not imperfections.

Design Possibilities

  • Dinner plates, salad plates, and side plates
  • Wide shallow forms or deeper rimmed profiles
  • Matte, satin, and gloss glaze finishes
  • Terracotta, sage, ivory, charcoal, and custom glaze colors
  • Coordinated sets with bowls, mugs, and servingware

General Care

Handmade ceramics generally benefit from hand washing to preserve glaze finish and surface quality over time. Specific care guidance is provided with each order. We do not make claims about dishwasher, microwave, or oven safety without confirming specifications for each individual piece.
